Dance & Performance

Movement, held still.

Ballet, contemporary, studio and stage, photographed for structure, tension and light.

A body in motion holds its exact shape for an instant. This work is the attention that meets it.

Approach

Reading the body in motion.

This work moves between commissioned portraiture and a longer investigation into body, identity and light. The strongest threads run through ballet and pointe, contemporary and studio floor work, and long exposure with coloured light.

Movement literacy

Each technique belongs to a kind of movement. Clean studio light, long exposure, coloured gels and shadow are chosen because the movement asks for them, never as effect for its own sake.

Campaign crossover

The same reading of body and light carries into campaign work. Movement gives beauty, fashion and product imagery its charge, and a dancer's control shortens the distance to a usable frame.

More work
Studio or stage?

Both. A studio gives control over light, background and repetition, and suits portraits and movement studies. Stage and rehearsal work keeps the energy of live performance and the company's own space. The right setting depends on the dancer, the piece and how the images will be used.

A company or an individual dancer?

Either. Individual sessions build a dancer's portfolio, audition material or artist portraits. Company work covers programme visuals, promotional imagery and rehearsal documentation, usually planned around the season and the venue.

Can dance imagery serve brand campaigns?

Yes. Movement reads strongly in beauty, fashion and product campaigns, and a trained body gives a shoot precision and range. Dance and campaign work share the same reading of light, tension and form.

Start with a short note.

Artist portraits, promotional imagery, rehearsal sessions, programme visuals or a movement-led campaign. A rehearsal context, a portfolio link or an early idea is enough to begin.
