From writing to image.
Burak came to photography through writing and art journalism in Istanbul, opening his first studio in 2005.
His commissioned practice now centres on beauty, jewellery and campaign stills, supported by photographer-led production between Berlin and Istanbul.
Alongside commercial work, he maintains a long-form fine-art practice shaped by light, movement, the human form and material intervention.
He has served as a Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador since 2018. Professional affiliations include BPP Germany, the Royal Photographic Society and IGBK. He also serves on FOTON's Advisory Board and represents the organisation in Berlin.
