Photography Education

Photography Workshops, Courses & Mentoring

Private lessons, hands-on workshops, online mentoring, and corporate photography training — taught from active professional practice.

Photography education has been a central part of Burak Bulut Yıldırım’s practice since the beginning. Teaching and image-making continuously inform each other: real commercial production, fine art work, and long-term studio experience shape the lessons; teaching sharpens the ability to explain what makes an image work.

Whether you are just beginning, trying to move into a more professional level, improving a specific technical area, or building stronger internal visual skills inside a company team, the training is designed around actual needs rather than abstract theory.

Training Formats

One education page, four clear formats

Private Lessons & 1:1 Mentoring

Tailored to the individual photographer’s level, workflow, and goals. Topics may include camera technique, lighting, portraiture, product photography, Lightroom, Photoshop, portfolio development, or career direction.

Available in person in Berlin or Istanbul, or online internationally.

Beginner → Advanced · In Person / Online

Practical Workshops

Small-group, hands-on sessions focused on doing rather than watching. Built around specific skills such as studio portrait lighting, beauty setups, product photography, or location-based practice.

Participants shoot during the workshop and receive live correction in real time.

Hands-On · Berlin & Istanbul

Corporate Photography Programmes

Structured training formats for teams, companies, and institutions. These may include mobile photography, product and social content, visual literacy, basic studio understanding, or internal role-specific visual training.

The goal is measurable improvement, not generic team-building.

On-Site / Online · Teams & Institutions

Online Mentoring

Live one-to-one or small-group sessions conducted remotely, often focused on editing, workflow, critique, lighting feedback, and technical development in Lightroom and Photoshop.

How It Works

Simple structure, practical progress

01 — Tell me where you are

Send a short message with your current level, your goals, and the area you want to improve. That may be camera technique, lighting, editing, portfolio direction, product photography, portraiture, or internal company content.

02 — We choose the format

Based on the need, the training can be structured as a private lesson, online mentoring path, small-group workshop, or a corporate program. Berlin studio, Istanbul studio, on-site company training, or remote delivery can all be considered.

03 — You work through practice

The sessions are built around applied learning. You work with real files, real shooting situations, and direct correction — so the progress is visible and usable rather than theoretical.

How to Start

Private lessons begin with a short email, not an automated booking.

The most effective training is tailored. A short email is enough to shape the right starting point.

  • Your current photography level
  • What you already know or use
  • What you want to learn or improve
  • Whether you prefer private, online, workshop, or corporate training

Nude Art Workshops

A separate long-running workshop practice

Alongside general photography education, Burak has also developed a long-running nude art workshop practice across multiple cities. These workshops form a separate and more specialized educational space rooted in body, light, form, and fine art image-making.

More than 50 workshops have been held with over 300 photographers across cities including Istanbul, Berlin, Venice, and Chios.
